Christmas surprises for 5!

Christmas surprises for 5!

Table 9 was an inter generational group that had the benefit of knowing both Bing Crosby and Back Street Boys. Needless to say, this eclectic group wrapped it up for Christmas when they portrayed two Turtle Doves, three French Hens and four calling birds, on cell phones none the less!!

Once the 12 Days reenactment was complete, Table 9 added to the winnings from our fine performance and tallied up $324.

Several opportunities to bless others with the love of Christmas were discussed and the group agreed to assist a single mother of five children under the age of ten that was known through Fusion.  The Fusion leader contacted the mother and expressed the groups’ desire to share their winnings as a blessing to her and her children to allow her to purchase age appropriate gifts for the children.  She was overwhelmed and at first was reluctant to accept, until she realized this was an expression of the love of the Body of Christ to her through us. Arrangements were made to allow those that desired to contribute further to bring their gift to the Sunday service to be added to the collection that had grown to $550 by the end of the day. We expect more gifts to come in Sunday morning from various members of small groups represented at Table 9.

It was important to the group to allow our sister in Christ to realize dignity through Christ like sensitivity to her situation. Therefore we chose not to take pictures of the delivery of the gift Christ provided through us to meet her needs and answer her prayers.  But we did take pictures of our own Santa and the joy was evident on everyone’s face as we shared the love that Christ gives so freely. We have pictures of our 12 days reenactment that will be sent later!!!

What a great story. Way to work together. I think you absolutely made the right call to not take pictures at the house. So smart and honoring.
I am amazed at God’s goodness and your generosity.

Just want to know one thing - Who just “happens” to have a Santa Clause outfit with them. Seems a little odd…just a thought… :)

He’s actually wearing a red coat turned around. We borrowed a Santa hat from someone at the event, but I can’t remember where the beard came from! It’s make-shift!

Just a quick update, the total gift was $675,enough for the Mom to buy gifts for each child and to give the children a small amount to allow them to shop for their siblings’ gifts and their Mom! God is so faithful.
