Table 91 gave money to a single mom, with young twins, who lost her job.  One of our group members spoke with the woman earlier that week while doing community service for another organization, in regards to the twins.  She was surprised when she called the the family (while in the church parking lot) and found that the phone was disconnected.  Thankfully because of working with the other organization, she had their address.  When she went to the front door to talk to the woman it was pretty nerve-wrecking because they had never met.  Initially the mom did not open the door because she did not know the group member.  Her kids knew her, but she’d never met the mom.  When the mom did open the door our group member let her know how concerned we were about hearing that she lost her job.  She told that her church had an event and wanted them to go out and bless someone in need and that she wanted to give them some money.  The mom was so surprised!  She said “if you had come a few minutes later I would have been gone.  I just borrowed some money from my daughter in college, so I could get some gas and a newspaper to look for a job”.  She said that she been praying for help.
